Build the drink

Method

    Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a highball glass and dip the rim into coarse salt to coat.

    Fill the glass with ice to chill thoroughly.

    Add the tequila, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup into the glass over the ice.

    Top gently with grapefruit soda, pouring down the side to preserve carbonation.
